Lighting
I really like the looks of the ZipTips but currently planning on using The Works. Pros and cons of using the Works
-
- Will use Flyleds tail light too
-
- Uses the kit’s wingtip vs a custom wing tip shape
-
- Not as aesthetically pleasing as the ZipTip
-
- Does not have the rear position lighting on the wingtip (nice to have)
Flyleds The Work
The Works by Flyleds use the existing wingtips from the kit and provide a fullset of lighting:
- Landing
- Taxi
- Strobe
- Position
ZipTips
Single wingtip setup from Aveo’s ZipTip Premiere Winglet. Chatted with Emarit@rv-14a.blogspot.com about his setup and he believes this will be more then enough light.
This will provide the following lights:
- Landing
- Taxi
- Strobe
- Position
- Rear Position / Strobe
VOR Antenna
Bob Archer VOR Antenna will go in the right wingtip. I have heard these work great but you need to make sure you follow instructions or they don’t work well. See E’s blog for a good set of installation instructions.
- Need to verify the correct size in the wingtip and model of antenna
